Khelo India Volleyball
Dear Volleyball Enthusiasts, We are ecstatic and pleased to share with you that the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports has introduced a Talent Identification and Development (TID) program , under Khelo India Scheme with a vision and an objective of winning 20 Medals in 2028 Olympics. About 1,000 athletes (all priority sport disciplines) will be selected and supported annually under this scheme. Athletes will be identified by a High Power Committee for over a period of about eight years. The good news is that Volleyball too has been chosen as one of the disciplines under the scheme. Through this scheme we have the mandate to select 50 volleyball players (girls and boys ) each year for the next eight years. Govt. shall ensure Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) for the identified players.
